We really love our recurring characters on NCIS. Those characters that started out for one or two episodes and somehow end up coming back until we cheer each time they show up on the cast list for the episode. Fornell's been probably the most-liked of this recurring cast, but this season there are two recurring cast members who have potential to become just as fun each time they show up. If you haven't seen S9, stop reading now.








Dr. Rachel Cranston (aka Dr. Kate's Sister) and Dr. Samantha Ryan are two wonderfully complex characters who have an effect on our team.

But we can't forget about our favorite FBI agent Fornell even with these great new characters stepping in make life interesting for our team. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write a story that contains all three of these recurring characters, plus at least one member of the main team.

Characters: Tobias Fornell, Rachel Cranston and Sam Ryan, plus at least one of the main team. Characters must be seasonally appropriate, but both Cranston and Ryan have history with at least one current team member (Kate and Vance, respectively), so you're not limited to Season 9. You just can't have a character meet one of the three RC's before they met in canon. For this challenge, we'll go with Gibbs knowing Fornell before Yankee White.

Pairings: Any
Genre: No character death except canonical character death. Otherwise, anything goes, from crack!fic to serious angst. I'm not a big fan of character bashing or whump, but with the Head Mind Gamer in the mix, I'm not going to rule them out.
