The “And Now For Something Completely Different” Challenge

Adopted from Calliatra, originally the 'Step Outside' Challenge.

Take this as an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and write something completely unlike you’ve ever written before (hey, I wrote a romance, y’all can do this )

This is your chance to write something – a pairing, a genre, a rating, anything – that you don’t usually write, and that you might not be completely comfortable with. Or it can be related to length: write a drabble or ficlet if you’ve never written one, or a big multi-chapter if you’ve never done that before, it’s up to you.

So try something new, even if it’s crazy, or maybe because it’s crazy. And most important of all, have fun!

The specifics:

- You must use at least one of these characters, in their appropriate seasons: Gibbs, Tony, Tim, Ziva, Abby, Ducky, Jimmy, Vance, Kate, Jenny.

- You may use any other characters from NCIS (again, in their appropriate seasons). OCs are also fine, as long as they are new.

- Crossovers are allowed, but you’ll have to give me a tutorial if I’m not familiar with them, and please let me know ahead of time.

- Rating cap: None.

- Genre: Almost anything goes. Yes, this means I will READ stuff I don’t usually read, and I promise to keep an open mind . The only things I know I absolutely will not be able to read objectively are non-con and threesome/moresome.Otherwise, go where the plot bunnies lead you. ETA: smackalicious has agreed to co-judge the challenge, and she will handle the smutty FR 18 and FR 21 entries Write what you want!

- Pairings: Again, anything goes.

- Word count: Minimum 100. Maximum - none

- Multiple submissions – the more the merrier, but you only get Karma points for up to three (and I’m sure you already knew that)

- You may submit your story to another challenge issued after this one if that is okay with the other challenge-issuer.

-Prizes – two categories, with an honorable mention and winner in each: less than 5000 words, and more than 5000 words.
