The Supernatural Challenge

Due: March 11, 2011

Characters: At least one of the main characters: Gibbs, Tony, Abby, McGee, Ziva, Kate, Ducky, Palmer, Jenny, Vance. You may also include any recurring/guest characters as you see fit, and OCs are welcome, too.

Genre: Anything goes! If you want to do a crossover, please ask - I’m not terribly familiar with a lot of the common fandoms people choose to crossover with. Crossovers with X-Files are EXTREMELY welcome for this challenge.

Pairings: Any. I’m okay with het, slash, femmeslash, threesomes, moresomes . . . Just make note of what pairings and if it includes anything other than het or gen.

Rating: Any (just remember to rate properly). (And, as always, members under 18 are only permitted to write up to FR15.)

Seasons: Any (just properly mark for spoilers).

Word minimum/maximum: Minimum 100, no maximum. Write as many stories as you’d like! ETA: If more than 10 entries are received, there will be two categories of winners - one winner for stories of 100-1000 words, and one winner for stories over 1000 words.

Challenge: There's something strange going on at NCIS . . . again. This time, though, the "something" is supernatural. What that means is up to you, the writer. Technically, the term "supernatural" doesn't include things like vampires and werewolves and whatnot, but for the purpose of this challenge, it does.  Those creatures are commonly referred to as "preternatural," but since nobody is really familiar with that term, I'll keep it simple and familiar. LOL.

So what's eligible? Vampires. Werewolves. Witches. Fairies. Leprechauns. Zombies. The term "supernatural" has been used in so many ways that you may just have to ask and see if a certain idea you may have would work for this challenge. I would think it would be more limited to humanoid creatures than beasts, but if you can think of a beast-like creature that would fit, by all means, write it.  I'm pretty open.

The story doesn't need to be serious, either. I mean, I listed leprechauns.  So feel free to write crack!fic if you wish. And yes, I can think of ways to incorporate smut into this challenge, as I can with most challenges, so feel free to write what your muse wants. There are oodles of possibilities, and if you have an idea you think may fit this, but aren't sure, just ask.
